That is why I don't use the 4-piece of the imperial set (Mycelial Rift). I rarely use any console or active set power. The damage science ships do comes from the BOFF skills. My current setup is the Universal with a Tactical using Tac Team, Fire At Will, Beam Overload, and one of the attack patterns (Omega, I think, but not 100% certain that's the one off the top of my head), the tactical with a High Yield Torp and another Beam Overload, Engineering with Eng Team 1, Emergency Power to Weapons 2, and Chronometric Inversion Field. What's the Imperial Two piece you're talking about though, out of curiosity? And any suggestions for good BOFF skills to work towards? I'll need to look at the Temporal Two Piece. The non-BOFF stuff obviously ends up being less reliable just due to how long the damned cooldowns are.

Otherwise my only current exotic damage comes from Tyken's Rift 3, Gravity Well 1, an Engineering one with a long cooldown, and a few reputation based ones plus the Laeosa's Tactical. sparing about doing so in TFOs if only to not annoy anyone else - even if it will usually wipe out anything less than a 3 bar enemy ship consistently, so mostly as an OH SHIT button if there's a big cluster of objectives, or against big ships like the Borg Unimatrix or Cubes that don't get flung around. I also run the Risan Science Ship's storm console, which I love using but definitely am. might not even need to do that! But I'm still a few weeks away from level 6 on that Reputation). (Though if the level 6 alternate beam type is Plasma. I'm tempted to start working towards a Polaron set though, using the Lukari stuff, since I notice that gives more Exotic boosts. I haven't ever even attempted an Advanced TFO yet. I don't think I'm quite -that- advanced or deadly yet.
